An elopement is a non-traditional and intentional way to get married. This can really mean whatever you want it to. The focus will be completely on you and your partner and you will spend the day doing what you love together. Every couple is unique, so every elopement will be unique.
Absolutely not! There are so many beautiful locations in the Rockies here that don’t require any hiking. If you don’t want to spend all day hiking, we could spend all day fishing, picnicking, or meandering. The options are endless and the most important thing is that you craft a day that is true to you.
As soon as you can! We open our bookings in January for the following year and have a limited number of elopements and intimate weddings we take on for each year. September always books out first, so the earlier the better for fall in the Rockies. That being said, we’ve booked elopements as little as two weeks out, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re planning a last minute event! We would love to help you plan and capture the day.
Parks Canada allows a maximum of 20 people to be there for all elopement permits. It makes for such a cozy way to celebrate with your absolute favourite people.
No all day photoshoots here! Your day will be full of the activities that you like doing together and we will be a fly on the wall for those moments, quietly documenting the moments that the two of you are sharing. Our process involves a lot of us getting to know each other so that you both have the space to be completely yourselves and in the moment.
Mountain weather can be unpredictable and we are a big fan of embracing whatever Mother Nature throws at us (safely though, of course).
Nope! To get married in Alberta there are no residency or citizenship requirements. You can check this website for more information - https://www.alberta.ca/get-marriage-licence.aspx and we are more than willing to help walk you through the process.
